How To Use This Site

Overview
The idea is to choose a card to announce your event or occasion and then personalise it with your own message. We print that message on the cards and deliver them to you for you to send out to friends, family and colleagues. As well as being able to personalise your own message, many cards have other options such as bows and ribbons that you can specify.

Our cards and products are arranged in categories using the drop-down menu at the top of the page. For example, if you want to announce a birth, you look in the births section, or if you're moving house, you can select a card from the moving house section. Many of the cards feature in more than one section.

The pictures on the site are just examples to show you what's possible, and there's nothing to stop you choosing any message on any card.

Add to basket
When you have found the card or item you like, add it to your shopping basket, where you can specify the quantity you would like. For cards there's generally a minimum quantity of 25 and then additional quantities in 5s or 10s.

When the card is in the shopping basket you will see a link below the item which takes you to the personalisation page.

Personalising your selection
This is where you specify your message and any other options available for the card. This page is reached from the shopping basket after you have added the item to the basket.

The options available for the card are shown underneath the card down the page. You make selections down the page until you reach the end and then click Submit to store your choices. You then return to the shopping basket to personalise any other items or to continue with your purchase.

 

Delivery Times and Charges

Delivery Times
Unless you request not to receive one, we will send you a proof of your order (by email, fax or post) to make sure it's exactly how you want it. After receiving your approval of the proof and any outstanding details we will strive to complete your order within 3 business days.

For UK orders we ship using First Class Mail or Royal Mail Next Day Delivery. For outside the UK we use standard air mail, which generally takes around 3 days to Western Europe or 5 days to the rest of the world.

Delivery Charges
Cards are charged at a fixed rate regardless of quantity ordered. Heavier items such as gifts are charged individually.

How do I personalise the same item twice?
You may wish to buy 2 or more identical items (e.g. 2 photo albums) but personalise each one differently. To do this, just add them separately to your shopping basket and then personalise each one separately. Just click "add to basket", then go back and click "add to basket" again!

How much does it cost to add a photo?
There is no extra charge for processing an image or photo - for cards that require a photo, the price is already embedded in the cost of the cards.

If you would like to add a photo or an image to a card that is not shown as a photo card, just call us on 0208 286 4044 and we will sort it out for you.

As we fully personalise each order you can also have some cards done with a photo and some without if you prefer, all for the same one-off cost.

Why can I not see my personalised text on the screen?
Some sites do show you a preview of the text once you have entered your details. This is nice but did you know that you are actually doing the typesetting for that card? Your cards will be printed exactly how you have set it with no intervention from the print company concerned and unless you happen to be a pro typesetter, the chances are it will not be as good as it should be.

at announce it! however, each and every order is professionally typeset as we believe that excellent typography is one of the key components in delivering you a personalised card to remember.

Once set, we email (or post) a professional proof to you to approve, usually on the same day that we receive your order.
